Overview
QR codes can be used in Breeze to control photo booths, automate sharing, and collect user data. Made popular during COVID19 as a way to offer a contactless experience, QR codes are now used as a way to increase throughput of busy events, especially when data collection is required (a perfect use for Trading Card experiences).
QR codes can send touch screen actions to Breeze, allowing nearly full control of experience just by scanning the QR code. In addition, QR codes can contain data (email, phone numbers and other text strings like names, cities, zip codes etc) – this data can be passed through to the photo booth and be used as captions/text on outputs as well as a way to dynamically change backgrounds and overlays on output.

Types of QR Codes
Standard QR Codes
Standard QR Codes can contain commands and string data (eg, names, email, background options etc) and can be used multiple times.
Single Use QR Codes
Single Use QR Codes are the same as Standard QR codes, but the data is encrypted, can be set to expire, and can only be used once on a single photo booth. These are designed to be used as “tickets”.
Payment QR Codes
Payment QR Codes are the same as Standard QR codes, but on form submission the user will be re-directed to a Stripe Checkout page to make payment. On successful payment, the user is redirected to the final QR code. These can be used in conjunction with Single Use QR Codes.
Breeze Configuration
In addition to creating the QR Microsite, you also need to configure QR Code scanning within Breeze RemotePro and BreezeBooth. See the user guide for setup instructions:
