Swapping Print Backgrounds

Users can choose different backgrounds and overlays in the print confirmation screen after photos are taken. This is particularly useful when using AI Background Removal or Green Screen Shooting with the transparent background option, and also for offering different print styles on normal photos.

Setup

1. Enable Confirm before printing in Photobooth Settings.
2. Edit confirm_printing.jpg to add graphics for background-selection buttons.
3. Add touchscreen actions for selecting backgrounds using the Touchscreen Editor.
4. Add background images (background1.jpg, background2.jpg, background3.jpg etc.) and optional overlay images (overlay1.png, overlay2.png etc.) to the photo booth images folder.

The print preview in the confirmation screen updates automatically when the user selects a different background.

Image size

For best results, background and overlay images should be the same pixel dimensions as the print layout. Example: a 4×6” print at 300 dpi requires 1200×1800 pixel images. Mismatched sizes may cause the print preview to differ from the final output.

PNG logo images with transparent areas added via the print layout editor may not display correctly if the transparent areas fall over the print background rather than over the photos.
