Suggested Equipment
Camera
The Canon EOS R100 is currently one of the best all-round cameras for photo booth use. It offers excellent image quality and fast Dual Pixel CMOS autofocus, making it practical to use autofocus in live view for both still and video booth modes.
The R100 is compact, lightweight, and part of Canon’s modern RF mirrorless system, making it easy to mount in booths while supporting a wide range of lenses via RF or EF adapters. It provides an excellent balance of performance, reliability, and value for most photo booth setups.
Webcam
Any Windows-compatible USB webcam should work, including built-in cameras on devices such as the Surface Pro. Logitech makes excellent external webcams.
Printer
The DNP DS620 and DNP RX1 series printers are among the most popular and reliable printers for photo booth use. Both are professional dye-sublimation printers that produce high-quality 300-dpi prints with durable overcoat protection against fingerprints and fading.
- DNP DS620 — very fast printing speeds; produces a 4×6” photo in around 8.3 seconds; supports formats from 2×6 photo booth strips up to 6×8 prints.
- DNP RX1 — compact and cost-effective; prints a 4×6” photo in about 15 seconds; 700-print capacity per roll; well suited for unattended events and high-volume printing.
PC
Breeze requires a PC running Windows 10 or Windows 11. The software itself is lightweight and can run on modest hardware.
- Minimum: Intel i3 (or similar), 4 GB RAM, 256 GB drive
- Recommended: Intel i7, 8 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD
For touch-based booths, Elo Touch Solutions displays are recommended. Elo produces a wide range of commercial-grade touchscreen monitors and computers designed for continuous public use, making them ideal for photo booths and self-service kiosks.
