Setup Wizard
The photo booth setup wizard provides a fast way to create the screens and print layout for common photo booth events. It generates all required screen image files and a basic print layout, so you can start shooting immediately.
To launch the wizard, click the Photobooth Setup Wizard shortcut button in the main window, or select it from File menu.
What the wizard configures
- Number of photos in the sequence
- Print layout (strip, grid, or single image)
- Screen image files (ready, countdown, processing, etc.)
- Background colour or image for screens and prints
Steps
- Select the number of photos to take in each sequence.
- Choose the print layout — strip, 2×2 grid, or single image.
- Select a background colour or import a background image.
- Click Finish. The wizard creates all screen JPEGs and a matching print layout.
After the wizard completes, you can edit each screen image in Photoshop, Canva, or any image editor to brand the booth for your event.
Animated GIF countdowns
The wizard can also configure an animated GIF countdown for the shooting sequence. Place a GIF file named 1.gif (and 2.gif, 3.gif etc. for multi-shot sequences) in the photo booth images folder. The GIF plays during the countdown and the photo is taken when it finishes.
Next steps
After running the wizard:
- Use the Print Layout Editor to refine the print layout.
- Use Photo Booth Settings to configure timing, live view, output, and sharing options.
- Edit screen images in an image editor to add logos, event branding, and custom text.
