Face Swap Overview

The Face Swap Configuration takes the dominant face in the uploaded photo, and swaps it on to the dominant face in the Target image. Whilst multiple people can be in the uploaded photo, only the face of a single person will be swapped. The Face Swap AI will determine which is the dominant face in the uploaded and target images. and switch faces accordingly. There are two versions of the Face Swap configuration. The differences outlined below.

Difference between Face Swap Options

There are multiple Face Swap options to choose from. Each one uses a different AI Engine, offering slightly different results, processing time and price points.

Face Swap 1 has been retired.

Face Swap 2

Processing time usually 10-15 secs. Typically gives a reasonable likeness to user.

Face Swap 3

Processing time usually 10-15 secs. Typically gives a very good likeness to user, and blends skin tones well.

Face Swap 4

Processing time usually 45-90 secs. Typically gives a strong likeness to user. Has an option to swap the full head (keeping more of the users actual hair).

Face Swap Settings

Select your desired Face Swap FX type from the drop down list. Give the configuration a name and optionally set the URL Token (or leave blank to have it auto assigned).

Reverse Face Swap

Enabling the Reverse Face Swap option means that the face of the Target image will be placed on to the Face of the uploaded image. As an example. this could be useful if you want to add the face of a celebrity to a guest (so they retain their own body and pose).

Target Image

This is the image that the users face will be swapped on to, and the image that will be returned to Breeze. The Target image does not need to be the same ratio as the uploaded image. However, When adding the image to your print layout, make sure the image placeholder is the same ratio as the Target image to avoid cropping. .

Other Settings

Bulk Import

You are able to bulk create and update Face Swap configurations by uploading a CSV file. This is particularly useful if you have a large number of configurations to upload (for example, if you have 10 Face Swap images, with variations for 2 genders and 5 skin tones, you would need 100 configurations).

CSV File

You must adhere to the required format for uploads to work successfully. You can download an example template to use as a starting point (you can also load this in to your FX account to see how it works).

CSV Fields

Type: Face Swap 2, Face Swap 3, Face Swap 4
Name: The name of the configuration
Token: The token used on the FX URL

eg: https://fx.breezesoftware.com/api/generate/your-company/basketball-male

Target Image URL The link to the image file used for the Face Swap

eg: https://yourwebsite.com/images/basketball-male.png

Bulk Uploading

Bulk Updating

You can bulk update FX configurations, by re-uploading your CSV file with your changes. If the Token already exists in FX, the configuration will be updated.

If you wish to bulk update existing configurations, keep the Token the same, but update the other parameters (for example, this allows you to bulk update to the Face Swap 2 configuration for example).
