Stripe Account and Terms & Conditions

Stripe Account

If you do not already have a Stripe Account, you can sign up on their website. You will need to have an active account before you can configure the Terminal.

Unattended Terminals

Please ensure you are familiar with Stripe’s Terms & Conditions for using Terminal in unattended environments.

Test Transactions

It’s important to note (as with all card processors), that making test transactions on your live account is prohibited. Please see the full Stripe Terms and Conditions. for details.

!Do not ever use real cards for testing, including, and especially your own. The Stripe Services Agreement prohibits testing in live mode using real payment method details. Doing so may lead to your Stripe account being permanently banned.

*Only ever test with the Stripe Test Card.

Test Mode

If you are only testing Stripe Terminal, or setting up your first devices, ensure that you enable Test Mode in Stripe. This allows you to use the Stripe Test card for payments.

When you are ready to go live, you need to disable the Test Mode, and repeat the setup process again whilst in Live/Production mode. If you need to test in the future, you will be able to switch between Live and Test mode, keeping in mind your credentials in Breeze would need to be updated also.
