Breeze Booth Licences
The new licensing system introduces device leases, allowing devices to continue operating offline for extended periods without requiring an internet connection.
When you sign in to Breeze Booth for the first time on a device, the app will automatically activate the device and assign an available licence seat. Once activated, the device continues to use that seat until it is deactivated or its lease expires.
In the new system:
- Users can sign in even if no licence seats are currently available
- The first time a device is used, Breeze Booth attempts to activate the device
- If a licence seat is available, it is assigned to that device
- An activated license remains assigned to the device until it is deactivated or its lease expires
- User accounts and licence seats are now managed independently
Device leases
Each activated device receives a licence lease. A lease determines how long a device can continue operating while offline. When online, the device automatically renews its lease every few minutes.
In previous versions of Breeze Booth, licences were automatically revoked if the device did not connect to the internet for 7 days. In the new system, devices can remain offline for as long as their lease allows.
Deactivating devices
Devices can be deactivated remotely from Breeze Cloud. When a device is online, the licence is normally released within a few minutes.
Offline devices
If the device is offline, the licence remains assigned until:
- The device reconnects
- The lease expires
- Breeze Support manually releases the device
