General Screens are screens that may be displayed regardless of what experience you are running. These screens are not compulsory, but may be beneficial to users.

| default_background | default background image for any screen that does not explicitly define a JPEG background Note: jpg only |
| countdown | default countdown screen used if the numbered countdown screens aren’t found |
| af_error | displayed if an AF error occurs when using an external camera |
| af_abort | displayed before returning to the ready screen if AF fails three times when using an external camera |
| before_session | screen shown before photo booth starts when using timed sessions. |
| after_session | screen shown after photo booth ends when using timed sessions. |
| power_saving | power saving screens displayed when power saving is active |
| sending_email | displayed when sending an email |
| sending_text | displayed when sending a text |
| sending | default sending screen used if the sending_email or sending_text screens aren’t found |
| standby | displayed while in standby mode (the camera live feed is disabled to save power in standby mode) |
