Network Requirements

In order to connect your Devices to Breeze Hub they must all be on the same network. Also ensure that your Firewall is not blocking any of the required ports.

Breeze Booth App Settings

To connect your Device to Breeze Hub, you must also ensure that the Breeze Hub option is enabled in the Settings of the Breeze Booth App on your device. You can do this by going to “Settings” and enabling “Connect to Breeze Hub”. Repeat this process for any other devices you need to connect to the same Breeze Hub.

Breeze Hub Settings

In Breeze Hub you must also ensure that “Enable Sync Service” is enabled. You can do that by going to “File > Preferences” and then enabling “Enable Sync Service”. Once these things have been done, you should now see your device listed in the Connected Devices Panel in Breeze Hub.

Server Name

You can set the server name in Breeze Hub to make it easier for Devices to identify which PC they have connected to. You can set this in “File > Preferences” and then filling in the Server Name field. This will be displayed in the App Settings screen on the iPad. The default is the token computerName which is the name of the computer it is running on.

Password Protection

Set an optional password if you require additional security for files being downloaded from Devices. If a password is set the same password has to be entered on each Breeze Booth device in the “App Settings”.

The password is used to sign each file that is sent by Breeze Booth and Breeze Hub will refuse to accept the file if the password is incorrect. Please note the actual password is not sent with the files. Instead the files are signed using the password. This means that the password cannot be stolen if the system is running on an insecure network. Breeze Hub will only accept JPEG photos, GIF files, MP4 movie files, XML files or journal text files. All other file types are rejected.

Ports

Breeze Hub uses three internet ports for communicating with connected Devices:

Port Usage Default Firewall Notes
Broadcast Port Sends UDP broadcast messages to tell iPads about the server 5500 Allow UDP outward messages
Status Port Receives UDP status messages from iPads connected to the server 5501 Allow UDP inward messages
Sync Port Receives files from iPads connected to the server 5502 Allow TCP inward messages
